Meet the Bourne Space Members: Xaso

Bourne Space is home to a whole host of brilliant businesses and each month we’ll be introducing you to them. First up, it’s Xaso founder, Managing Director and risotto fan George Haslett...

Hi, George. Tell us more about Xaso

We’re a pay-per-click (PPC) marketing agency and we’re pretty new – only three years old.

We’re lifetime PPC experts and data scientists, we wanted to start as business whose work is optimal in every regard.

We run a four-day working week and have quite a heavy focus on tech, we’re partnered with all the major platforms, and manage around £3M p/a on behalf of our awesome clients.

What services do you offer your clients, and how do you do it?

We offer PPC management of every kind (paid search, shopping, programmatic etc.) across almost every platform. We leverage some predictive analytics, bespoke integrations and competitor tracking, a lot of inference and cycled testing. We really try and approach the work as if it was a science.

Give us an example of one of your greatest projects?

We’re currently doing some work for a pretty big comparison site.

We’re tracking the pricing of every advertiser in market and from observing historic performance versus our offered pricing, we’re able to make predictions around traffic performance before we spend any money.

It’s not perfect by any means, but where it does work, we avoid so much potentially wasted spend. I absolutely love it.

How long have you been a member of Bourne Space?

I think around a year now, and we just signed another six months so we’re not going anywhere.

Why did you choose Bourne Space?

We were initially referred by one of our clients (who was already a Bourne Space tenant) so we knew it must be good, and after visiting the building we fell in love with the roof garden.

What is the most important feature of Bourne Space for your company?

Showers in the office, 100%. I cycle to work so it’s such a nice thing to have in the summer.

Tell us how the community at Bourne Space has allowed you to collaborate and/or network with other Bourne Space members.

The regular socials on Fridays have been a really good way of meeting new businesses, alongside the breakout space pre-Covid.

I’ve built a few new working relationships just chatting to random people from other companies in Bourne House, and we even manage the PPC activity for Bourne Space now too.

What’s next for you and Xaso?

We recently finished a massive update of our website, and we really need to find a new PPC expert to join our team soon too – if that’s you, hit us up.

Hopefully, we continue down the path we’re currently on, that would be more than good.
