Meet the Bourne Space Members: Interface NRM Ltd

Bourne Space is home to a whole host of brilliant businesses and each month we’ll be introducing you to them.Next up, it’s Interface NRM...

Hi, guys. Tell us more about Interface NRM

We started life as a forest management consultancy in 2002 and have slowly morphed into an UKAS and ASI accredited Certification Body, dealing a lot with the timber sector on sustainable supply chains but now also in other sectors too.

What services do you offer your clients, and how do you do it?

We offer accredited certification to ISO 9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001 and FSC and PEFC to a wide range of companies from one man bands to Blue Chip operators.

Give us an example of one of your greatest achievements

In 2010/11 we were an integral part of greening the supply chain into London 2012.

Sadly, we didn’t get preferential treatment on tickets!

We are currently working on a project for the UN on sustainable supply chains.

Our blue chip clients include Travis Perkins PLC and Aramark UK Ltd but our bread and butter work, and what we do best, is working with SMEs to help them implement and deliver systems for business improvement.

Why did you choose Bourne Space?

The location of Bourne Space and facilities on offer perfectly suited what we wanted from a serviced office space.

What is the most important feature of Bourne Space for your company?

It is a great location and the office team here are really helpful.

This is a satellite to our main office in Shropshire but it works really well.

Tell us how the community at Bourne Space has allowed you to collaborate and/or network with other Bourne Space members.

Socially and in the day to day it is a great place to be.

We have been here seven years and wouldn’t work anywhere else!

What’s next for your business?

We have recently sold the company to the staff – so we are now an Employee Owned business.

We continue to grow in staff numbers and turnover and despite the difficulties of the last couple of years, we remain optimistic for the future.

We are small fish in a big pond which suits us just fine.
